Romelu Lukaku reveals what Jose Mourinho told Paul Pogba at half-time to inspire Manchester United's win over Bournemouth France midfielder put in a solid display and set up Romelu Lukaku's goal as he was named a man of the match

Following a poor display against West Brom on Sunday, Paul Pogba put his fancy flicks and haircuts to one side to produce a solid display against Bournemouth.

The 24-year-old was named a man of the match as he helped Manchester United claim all three points at the Vitality Stadium.


Pogba also set up Romelu Lukaku's goal to grab his 11th assist of the season.

The Frenchman has struggled for consistency this season and has had an unsteady relationship with boss Jose Mourinho.

However, the midfielder listened to his manager at half-time to help wrap up United's win, according to the Belgian striker.

Lukaku reveals what Mourinho told Pogba at half-time
"We knew we had space," Lukaku told BT Sport at full-time.

"At half-time, the manager told Paul (Pogba) to keep making those runs, he did and played a perfect pass which I was able to finish off.

"It was really important that we won today and now we’re well prepared for this weekend. As a player, you always want to play and you always have to be ready."
